In late 2017, a group of passionate professionals started OrangeCross with a vision to make “out-of hospital” healthcare an extended arm of the mainstream healthcare ecosystem. OrangeCross was launched as a Start-Up venture to make healing at home affordable, professional and dignified.
OrangeCross prides itself as one of India’s first integrated post-acute care service provider with operations in Bhubaneswar, Vizag, Pune, and Bangalore. The company soon plans to extend its healthcare services to six other cities across the country, with its unique promise of skilled care-giving for the patient and a promising career for its caregivers.

Ajay Bhanja – CEO
With over 25 years of international experience as Global Head and CEO across multiple multinational firms, Ajay Bhanja has a proven record of building strong, sustainable organizations. A B.Tech. graduate from IIT (ISM) and a Management alumnus of IIFT, he has also completed advanced management programs at ISB Hyderabad and Kellogg School of Management, Chicago. As CEO, he provides strategic vision and leadership to OrangeCross.

Dr. J. M. Rao – Director, Patient Care
A renowned surgeon with over three decades of experience in general and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Rao has served leading hospitals in New Delhi and Odisha. A member of ELSA, IAGES, and AMASI, he mentors caregivers through regular training, ensuring safe, high-quality home healthcare.

Santosh Jena – COO
With 15 years of experience in international business and operations, Santosh brings expertise in strategic planning, market development, and execution. A Postgraduate in Management from IIAM, he drives OrangeCross’s operational excellence and on-ground implementation.

Muralidhar P – Advisor, Marketing & IT
Murali has over 24 years of experience across product and service marketing, distribution, and start-up growth. An MBA from XIMB and B.Tech. from NIT Rourkela, he shapes the marketing strategy and IT initiatives that power OrangeCross’s digital and brand presence.

Parthasarathi Patnaik – Director
A veteran of investment banking and venture capital, Partha brings over 20 years of leadership experience from RBS and ABN AMRO Bank. An alumnus of the Wharton School and Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, with a B.Tech. from IIT (BHU), he oversees finance and governance at OrangeCross.

Dr. Shravani Mohanty – Chief Mentor
Dr. Mohanty holds a Ph.D. in Neurobiology from the Indian Institute of Chemical Biology and has served as a scientist under India’s Department of Science & Technology. With experience across healthcare research, yoga therapy, and medical education, she leads training and upskilling initiatives for OrangeCross’s caregiving teams.

Sujay Acharya - Vice President -HR
Mr. Sujay Acharya has joined the OrangeCross Management Team as the Vice President –HR in November 2025. Having over 25 years of experience, he is an HR Leader specializing in strategies for engagement, scale & transformation, building talent resilience, across industry domains & geographies. He had been earlier engaged as the Director HR in Cognizant and Huron Consulting Group.

Shri GC Pati – IAS Retd.
Former Chief Secretary, Govt. of Odisha
Shri G C Pati, an alumnus of IIT Kanpur, joined the Indian Administrative Service in July, 1978 and retired as Chief Secretary to Government of Odisha on 30th November, 2015. His work experience under the Government of Odisha includes the Departments of Revenue, Finance, Panchayati Raj, Rural Development, Animal Husbandry and Industries etc. He was on deputation to Government of India where he worked as Joint Secretary, Additional Secretary and Special Secretary in the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture from 2006 to 2012. He was posted as Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries, Ministry of Agriculture from 2012 to 2013 and as Secretary, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence from August, 2013 to July, 2014. He worked as Chief Secretary, Government of Odisha from August, 2014 till his superannuation on 30th November, 2015. Thereafter he was a member of Central Administrative Tribunal, Allahabad Bench.

Dr. Banambar Ray – Chief Consultant

Former Critical Care Head at Apollo Hospitals, Bhubaneswar, Dr.Banambar Ray has worked for 30 years as an Anaesthesiologist and Intensive Care Physician in Tata Main Hospital, Jamshedpur and retired as General Manager (Medical Services). He has completed his MBBS from MKCG Medical College, Berhampur University in the year 1972 and his MD from Anaesthesiology – All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in the year 1977. He has contributed significantly to the development of Critical Care in Eastern India. He initiated and developed National Board Program (DNB) in Tata Main Hospital in 1999 till 2010, conducted a workshop in Dhaka’s Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital on Critical Care in 2007, Chaired the Sub Committee of ISCCM for deciding on quality indicators for Indian ICUs. He is Fellow of Indian College of Critical Care Medicine (FICCM) and Life Member of IMA, ISA, ISCCM. He is also recipient of several prestigious awards in India and abroad. Dr. Ray was awarded the most coveted “Distinguished Mentor Award” in the speciality of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care in the Anaesthesia Leadership Summit 2022.

Prof. GBN Chainy - Former Founder and Head

Professor G.B.N Chainy is an eminent Scientist and Teacher in the field of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. As the Founder Head of the Department of Biotechnology, and former Head of Department of Zoology, Utkal University, Vani Vihar he is one of the most revered and distinguished scientists and teachers of specializations Biochemistry, Molecular Biology & Genetic Engineering in Odisha for last 33 years. He completed Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University in 1977. He has worked in the MD Anderson Cancer Research Centre in USA & INSERM, France. He has been honoured with the prestigious Fellow of National Academy of Sciences, India among many other achievements. He has to his credit over a hundred peer reviewed articles and several books and has mentored numerous students during their doctoral and post-doctoral programs. He has also been instrumental in setting the curricula of various levels of education at the National Level.

Rajib Sahoo – Chartered Accountant and Principal Partner

Mr. Rajib Sahoo is one of the leading Chartered Accountants in the state of Odisha. He has been the Director in NTPC Ltd., Hindustan Zinc Ltd. and Tehri Hydro Development Corporation India Ltd. He was also the Chairman of the Audit Committee and Director of Bank of Baroda. Earlier Mr. Sahoo was Chairman of Audit Committee and Member, Risk Management Committee in Andhra Bank. He also worked as Chairman of Indo-American Chamber of Commerce for the years 2008-2010. He holds positions of repute in several organizations of standing. He is a force to reckon in the industry and the state of Odisha.

Indranil Sarkar – President & CEO

Arkansas, USA
Indranil Sarkar is the President & Chief Executive Officer of Arkansas Health Network since 2015. AHN is the largest and most successful Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) in the State of Arkansas. AHN comprises of 17 hospitals, 3200 providers and 27 Skilled Nursing Facilities.
In the past roles he was Senior Vice Present of Operations/Value-Based Care for Premier Health based in Dayton, Ohio and Regional VP & Chief Strategy Officer for Presence Health based in Chicago, Illinois. In addition, he has provided strategic consulting and program implementation services to some of the leading integrated health systems and payors in the USA and internationally, including Kaiser Permanente, Advocate, Johns Hopkins, Aetna etc. Most recently, Mr. Sarkar served as the US National Leader of Healthcare and Practice Vice President for Capgemini. Mr. Sarkar is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He is considered a ‘National Expert’ in Value-Based Care and Payor & Provider Strategy.

Dr. Asit Baran Mohapatra – Coach and HR Consultant
As a Coach and HR Consultant, Dr. Mohapatra carries with him strong conceptual knowledge. He has contributed substantially in the areas of Employee Engagement, Talent Management, Succession Planning, Leadership Development, Mergers & Acquisitions and Culture Building, etc. He holds a B.Tech. degree in Production Engineering from BITS, Mesra; an MBA from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai; a Ph.D. in HR from AMU; Diploma in Total Quality Management from University of Sterling, UK and an Advanced Diploma in Human Resource Management from All India Management Association, Delhi. Dr.Mohapatra has also been trained in Japan and USA in areas of HR Mgmt. He received the HR Leadership Award from Asia Pacific HRM Congress, 2014. He has formerly held positions of Director HR in Raymonds & Parke Davis, Sr. VP-HR in Reliance Retail and VP-HR in ICICI Bank. He has also been actively engaged as a Professor-HR in six IIMs for which he has received the Best Professor in HR Award from the World HRD Congress in the year 2019.
